I really enjoyed this and only confirms my secret passion for the rules of golf. Two questions for future pods: 1. Say you spray one right into thick scrub. You play a provisional in case it's lost and stripe un down the fairway. Are you compelled to look for the ball at all? And if you DO find the first ball and it is unplayable and the only option is to replay the tee shot, can you claim the provisional you played? I don't believe you can. 2 can you explain the Reference Point as described when a ball is embedded in the grass wall above a bunker. Especially if the grass wall is vertical and the reference point is directly behind the ball. There is then an interesting proposition that if you can't find relief 1 club length from the reference point in the General Area you must drop in the bunker. I understand if you have to drop in the bunket you incur a 1 stroke penalty rather than free relief in the general area. I can't find ANYONE who can answer this. Most people think you place it on top of the bunker wall with no penalty. Cheers Brett W
