Aus Open Week with Magic and Rossco
Well, that was some week in golf for Australia.
The Aus Open where 3 national titles were decided.
Podcast favourite Adrian Meronk won the Men's
Ashleigh Buhai won the Women's Open and
Kipp Popert won the All Abilities Aus Open.
A wonderful week in golf and a great marketing initiative for the game. Was it perfect...NO. Can it be improved...YES. Is the concept valid...YES
Thanks to Golf Australia for letting us be part of the action a little closer than we have before.

THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN WEEK
The Australian Open for our professional men and women golfers hits town this week as all eyes descend on our unique format.
Played over two courses with men and women running in conjunction. A super field with many of Australia's favourite golfers, a host of international names and around 8 major title winners. Now that is a tournament I want to see.
CATHEDRAL INVITATIONAL WITH DAVID EVANS
Directly following the Aus Open is the Cathedral Invitational held at the prestigious Cathedral GC in Thornton VIC. The course owned and conceived by Victorian businessman David Evans, and built by Greg Norman is a new 2-day tournament designed to give our star golfers another reason to support the Australian Summer of Golf. We chat with David about the tournament. One lucky listener will get the chance to win 2 tickets to the Tuesday public access day on December 6th and 2 Embroidered Cathedral Invitational Caps. THE SUMMER OF GOLF
After a short break, the lads are back together.
This week we begin our chats on the Aussie Summer of Golf. Mike is up in QLD at the Aus PGA which is of course headlined by Cameron Smith. The event being held at Royal Queensland is headed up not only by Cameron Smith but a host of Australian and global golf superstars.

Darren Bragg - EMEA Manager for BUSHNELL Golf
Darren Bragg is one of the most respected and connected career PGA Golf Professionals in the UK. As the EMEA ( Europe Middle East Africa ) Manager for Bushnell, he sees a fair bit of the industry. We had the pleasure to meet Darren in Scotland this year and as we turn to reconnect with some of the great people we met during the trip it was only fitting that I start with the chap who I met on day one. A round of golf at the amazing Loch Lomond Golf Course.
More recently Bushnell has released some groundbreaking technology in the Range Finder and GPS watch category. They are products we all use and are still a category that I receive many questions about. How does the tech work? Will it help my game? etc. Well, Darren takes us through the new technology as we unpack just how knowing and understanding your distances can benefit your game.
Of course, we chat about Darren's career in golf as a PGA Professional and industry specialist as we reminisce about our few days in Scotland together.

EMPOWER Golf - Ben Tullipan
20 years ago Ben Tullipan miraculously survived the terror attack in Bali when 88 Australians lost their life in and around the Sari Club.
After finding the game of golf as a bilateral amputee, Ben and EMPOWER Golf founder James Gribble dedicate their lives to making the game of golf accessible to people with disability.

Presidents Cup Wrap
Don't get me wrong. Of what we watched during the Presidents Cup we really enjoyed it. Of course, there were the highs and lows for the Internationals with the USA securing another solid win. Pleasingly we saw the rise of some potential future stars who may go on to represent s at many future Prez Cups. However, the question remains. does the Presidents Cup need a spic up to stay relevant? We discuss what this means to us and consider, in light of the LIV Golf Economy, is there a better way to utilise this fan favourite format on a more frequent global scale.?? Love your thoughts.

What a week.
Well, that is a wrap on the season for the PGA Tour with Rory McIlroy taking out the season closing Tour Championship, He is fired up at the moment and is squarely leading the charge with the players in the PGA Tour Camp.
All the while over at LIV GOLF it has been a week where one of the most rumoured signings became a reality when 150th Open Champ, Cam Smith took his buddy Mark Lieshman across to join LIV Golf just in time for this week's Boston International Event.
There is so much going on in the world of competitive golf—great fuel for golf fans and podcasters alike.
